When was the last time you simply sat and brought yourself into the present moment? Much of our lives can be spent living unconsciously, like driving to work in the morning and having no recollection of the journey. None of us really want to get to the end of our lives and realise that we have lived most of it unconsciously. So how can we ensure that we are living more in the present and even enjoying our professional and personal lives a lot more? One skill worth practicing and cultivating is Mindfulness. One definition by the author Jan Chozen Bayes is: Mindfulness is deliberately paying full attention to what is happening around you and within you – in your body, heart and mind. Mindfulness is awareness without criticism or judgement.
